The issue competing with the Covid 19 crisis here in Israel is the US plan to bring everlasting peace and prosperity to the people of the holy land. The problem is that the plan has more holes than a piece of swiss cheese. Indeed, there are pros and cons, doubts and maybes, but it’s a dangerous game of rush-in roulette.
The plan’s details are disastrous for Medinat Yisrael, as they say, the devil is in the details.
I viewed today a video of human locusts descending upon Macy’s department store in New York. In itself this is a tragic sight, but ever more so when taking into account that this scene has repeated itself in many places across the US.
The Angel of Severe Justice, in his appointed role of prosecutor of humanity, appeared before the Creator with voluminous documentation attesting to the sins of man, which included only one small paragraph regarding the Jewish people. HaShem passes judgement with a punishment of a pandemic virus to mirror the pan-avairus (raixez) that the majority of the world’s nations are committing.
What is this pan-avaira the world is being accused of? Some heavenly initiatives take longer than others to register in the dull minds of human beings; but now the puzzle is taking shape, even though the details are still a bit sketchy.
I would like to relate to you, dear reader, three episodes of uplifting, spiritual ecstasy which I believe I will not experience again until the Mashiach appears.
The first occurred 72 years ago in 1948 in the Brownsville area of Brooklyn N.Y. The other in 1967 in Netanya, and the third in Yerushalayim in 1968.
Learn the secrets of a meaningful life from those who have gone the distance, those elderly who are a “deposit box” of wisdom and experience.
PIRKEI AVOT 2:5:
“… and where there are no (responsible) people to be found, try to fill the void”
And its corollary:
If there is another who can do the job better or even as well as you, find yourself greener pastures where you can contribute your talents.
